The Chantier Naval de Maluku, CNM in acronym, is a private company belonging to the Blattner Elwyn Group, and it had been founded in 2021. Despite its recent formal creation, the Chantier Naval de Maluku carries a long and reputable history.

Located in the heart of the Congo Basin and the Congo River watershed, the Democratic Republic of Congo, formerly Zaire, will position itself as an ideal area where the forestry industry and river transport will thrive.
Over the past 5 decades, two sister companies, TFCE (Transport Fluvial et Commerce de l’Equateur) and SIFORCO (Société Industrielle et Forestière du Congo), each equipped with its own shipyard, have marked the sectors of their activities.
In 2021, these two leaders, drawing on their expertise and experience, will unite the two shipyards to found a new autonomous shipyard open to the public called Chantier Naval de Maluku (CNM).
The Site is located 70 km from downtown Kinshasa by road and 55 km by river. It is located in the Siforco concession in the municipality of Maluku. Benefiting from unrestricted port access to the tides in all seasons, the site offers a calm and secure environment, well suited for the construction of our works and services.
Construction, Repair and Maintenance
The construction, repair and maintenance of ships are the main activity of the site: motorized boats, barges, ferries, oil barges, dredges, buoys.
The Shipyard has the teams, the expertise, and the facilities to carry out any type of repair.
CNM is the main supplier of services and floating units of the leading company in the private river transport sector in the DRC, TFCE

Mechanical workshop
Thanks to new high-precision machine tools, the CNM is able to:
To machine shafts up to 13 meters in length.
To machine parts up to 1.5 meters in diameter.
Carry out the lining and grinding of crankshafts and cylinder heads
Repair the angles and radii for the propeller blades,
To machine toothed wheels, rollers, coupling flanges
CNM also carries out heat treatment of metals and metallization
